IF YOU HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING ME OR CHARLAVAIL ON INSTAGRAM

You might have seen me liking every picture of Charlavail's art or notice that Charlavail has been posting up her art pieces from a sketch to being hung up on the wall. Now, I'm not a very well artist or probably I would be if I had practiced. But no, I have not practiced since young and all I do is just doodle here and there on my notebook. Charlavail on the other hand, is pretty much super talented at anything she puts her hands on — painting, drawing, doodling, baking (she makes beautiful cupcakes and skull macaroons), clothing pieces, handmade sugar skull hairclips, power tools, etc. the list goes on. — and I'm (maybe, everyone) is so inspired by her. She's like a walking bucket of creativity... in a good way, that is. I just don't know how someone is so gifted!

Anyway, she posted up her artwork on Instagram and so last night, I had a drive to draw and color and whatnot. I took a sketch pad and started drawing a girl, just like what Charlavail drew. It came out pretty normal but honestly, I never thought I could color that way. That coloring standard over there, is the highest I've been at. lol Also, looking at her piece, taught me how to draw and color the nose. I'm never good at drawing noses, just fyi.

In my opinion, I think the lips are just too red. She kinda look like a hooker or something. And yes, she is naked because I couldn't decide on what shirt she should wear. Which only makes her look like a naked woman in a jungle (green background). Almost like Eve... but hooker Eve. Oh god why. Totally hope that one day I could be better at this drawing thing.

The difference between Charlavail's and mine is her is more of a whimsical, cartoony art whereas mine is just some plain old girl... or hooker. So honestly, I'm not proud of this work but saying this gives me more inspiration to continue on drawing shitty art. I see alot of flaws here: Eyes need more depth, nose is too far up, lips too red, face too pale, she looks like a hooker... lots of things. Hope to get them right the next time.
