FIRST TRIP TO CHIANG MAI, THAILAND
Day 1
Let's start with Day 1, shall we? We (a total of 7 of us) woke up at 4AM and board the airplane (We flew with AirAsia) just in the nick of time! 2 hours + 30 minutes later, we walked out of the int. arrivals hall and this taxi dude named Pooh came up to us and did his little marketing and won us over — he'll be our driver for all 4 days; though later on, something came up and he had to tend to an American lady for a month, so he gave us his sister, Tue, as our driver for the next 3 days. She's super nice (and pretty!). He took us for brunch and gahd, it tastes so good... wish I could remember the name of the dish. Mom took a picture as a compliment for the chef.
Thepprasit Honey
We got a little honey presentation + free tasting. One thing I learned is that bee pollen looks like tiny yellow rocks and are close to tasteless! But they're highly beneficial as per what the demonstrator said. Also, the demonstrator speaks Mandarin, how cool is that?
Umbrella Factory
Wow, the amount of time I'd have to take to learn these umbrella art... would be lightyears and infinity away. Okay, maybe not. My cousin was told that the umbrella factory was a must-go destination when in Chiang-Mai and no doubt it is. Pooh said it is the only one in Thailand. I was pretty amazed at the how the umbrella artists just mix colors at the top of their heads and slap the paintbrush on the umbrellas without any guidelines whatsoever. They sell tiny umbrella souvenirs for 40baht (RM4 / $1.30) — If they had the plain black + white elephant ones in mini, I'd purchased them. But oh well.
Longneck Village
We didn't really explore this one :( We just took a break outside the village but we didn't buy our entrance ticket. We had coconut water + fried pork skin. Yum! And, a couple of dogs came to hang with us too. The brown one begs for food by putting her head on our laps. How cute!
Tiger Kingdom — One of the highlights of our trip!
Oh my gahd. This is (one of) the best part of my trip to Chiang Mai. Oh my gaaahd. Who wouldn't be excited with tigers!? Entrance around the compound is free but in order to have a stroll in the compound and in the cages, a ticket is needed. Prices vary from 420baht being the medium - large tigers to 600baht being tiger cubs. This is probably one of the best experiences of my life. +Extra 300baht if you'd like a photographer with you in the cage; which they said 50pictures in one CD but we got a total of 91 shots! Oh, they have a young adult lion too... I was about 2 -3 feet away from the lion which is pretty cool indeed.

Kalare Night Bazaar
Just a few steps from ourhotel guesthouse. Food + food + food everywhere, everycorner! I never thought sticky rice with mango was the bomb but dude, sticky rice with mango is the bomb. Ended the loooong day with a relaxing foot massage.
