ONE OF THE THINGS THAT GETS MY HEART PUMPING

is seeing indie / contemporary / minimalistic /simplicity designs of house-decor. I'm not moving out of my parents' just yet but design always has a soft spot in my heart... along with baby animals and Neal Caffrey. Anyway, I've been following a few blogs for quite some time now and one of my favourites would definitely be Elsie + Emma's abeautifulmess.com. They post DIYs, recipes, fashion and (almost) personal life. I especially fancy their "At Home With..." series where they take photographs (they take amazing photographs btw) of people's homes. Absolutely perfect. From there, they'd pin it onto their Pinterest and I would most definitely repin them on my "Dream-House Decor" board (so cheesy) lol.

Tumblr also has great home-decor pictures and the architecture is so gorgeous. No doubt it's going to cause a hole in your wallet which such design but it gives a subtle drive for you to revamp your home, doesn't it? I wouldn't say that I have an expensive taste; most are just simple decor placed at the right place with the right color-combo. Without further ado, these would be the design + style I'd lean towards when and if I have a home on my own:
