TODAY'S POST WILL BE ABOUT A PRODUCT(S) REVIEW

But first, wow has it really been 2 months since I've last posted something in here? The little farewell gathering seemed just like yesterday; I missed those two already! Let me tell you, three timezones (MYT, WET + EDT) is a very hard task to overcome in terms of communicating + on top of that, we can't stay up late bc we have classes in the morning. Nightmare! So we leave messages on WhatsApp and whoever's awake shall read it or sometimes if we're lucky, all 3 of us are online altogether.

Part 1

Alright! C'est un produit de Neutrogena pour le visage (I'm not sorry if my French is bad  shut up! I'm working on it lol).

A little back story, I first bought this product in desperation at Chiang Mai, Thailand needing one facial cleanser soooo bad, don't even ask me why I hadn't bring one with me — I don't even know. But thank the Lord for that or I wouldn't have "discovered" this product. Well, I wouldn't say I just discovered it per se, but I never really gave much thought to trying this product. But I'm familiar with the brand, I use their blackhead eliminating cleanser + toner before this.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it, their blackhead eliminating cleanser didn't do shit to me and well it said it was A-ok for daily use but it literally dried my nose area to the point where it looks like it had severe drought. I hated that product. It costs me just a little over $8 and I didn't want to waste it so in the end I stole some of my sister's cleanser and use them both on alternate days. The toner however, is a different story. But we'll get back to that later on.

Another back story, I was never an acne sufferer, not even in high school. I was born with probably "perfect" skin but flawed with little blackheads on my nose. Other than that, I don't even own a face wash back then; I use normal body soap (lol) and my skin was great and never had much thought to the 3-step process (clean, tone, mosturise). Until *cue drama music*, I was part of the haunted house event committee and decided to join in as one of the ghosts props. And that means, face paint. Now, we have a tight budget (college club funds, you get what I mean) so the face paint that we bought weren't exactly... suitable, for my skin anyways. It started going downhill from there and I soon had tons and tons of acne a l l over. It was a nightmare. That was back in 2011.

I bought this cleanser in tube size (100ML) in early-March this year and guess how long it lasted? Till the end of September. 7 months, are you even kidding me? A small tube not even filled to the brim, lasts for about a little over a half of a year, this is crazy insane! After this amazing decision on choosing Liquid Neutrogena, my gosh I can tell you that my acne went from hero to almost-zero. Here's other reasons why it rocks:

1. It doesn't dry out your face.
2. It smells pretty good eventhough its fragrance-free.
3. It really, really, r e a l l y lathers well.
4. It's affordable!
5. It leaves your skin squeaky clean.

And unlike any other facial cleanser product, 5. It really leaves your skin squeaky clean. With other products like St. Ives or Nivea or Clean &Clear, I feel like I constantly have to take more amounts bc it doesn't lather well, and wash TWICE otherwise I'd still feel all the grime and oil and ugh-ness. I'm keen to know what magic potion is in Liquid Neutrogena bc it is such a bomb — one that I can't live without now.

Part 2

Being not used to washing my face before the whole facepaint ordeal, I'm never the one who spends too much time doing the whole long and boring 3-step process. 1, because I thought it was a waste of time + money. 2, because doing it or not doing it didn't affect me... then. I used up all of my Neutrogena blackhead eliminating cleanser (thank God!) and I was left with its twin, the toner. It literally sat on my table for probably 3 months. Though my acne problem wasn't completely solved with the liquid neutrogena, but it definitely help in reducing at least 80% of it. I still had acne but the amount(?) of acne was n o t even close to the ones that I've been suffering with for the past 2 years.

The thought of doing the 3-step process came to mind one day and I picked up my long-abandoned toner and I've never looked back. This thing right here is amazing. It was a great combo with my liquid neutrogena cleanser and it's not even in the same series! It really helped me alot on my acne bc it has these cooling agents that when you spread that butter all over your toast (I mean face), it cools down my now-sensitive skin. It worked so good, I bought a new bottle a few weeks ago.

In short, 5/5 stars for both products! Thank you Neutrogena, in hopes you never discontinue these products!

How about the mosturising part? Well that's another story. I shall post about my daily skin/face regime and talk through on it in detail! I can't wait, it'll be fun ;)

Thanks for reading!
