SO LAST NIGHT I DECIDED TO CHANGE THE QUOTE ON MY WALL

which is above my day-bed, like so:

...to a different quote!

"Oh wow, big deal?"

(laughs) I just got inspired by scrolling through tumblr yesterday afternoon (BTW, follow me on tumblr! Click here!) and saw a few of these bedroom pictures. It's not like I've never seen them before on my dash but these two made me actually move my butt and start decorating.

Before this, I did start decorating my room by adding christmas lights, like those bedroom pictures on tumblr. I wanted them so bad!

I really love the second picture. The gray walls, I could die. And those huge ass posters. But unfortunately, my walls are already painted (in dark turquoise, dark mint and white) so just putting up huge posters wouldn't exactly turn out as the picture. Plus, it's so neat! I'm not a neat person to be honest. But I love the idea of it.

The first picture though, is more similar to my room. It has a day-bed, I have a day-bed. It has bold colored walls, I have bold colored walls. And it has a dreamcatcher! Guess who has a dream catcher? Plus, the quote on the wall. Which is what I have on.

This made me change the quote on my wall from a line of Paramore's Let The Flames Begin lyrics "Somewhere weakness is our strength" to one of E.E. Cumming's quotes, that says, "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter". (Though in the picture, the person pastes up "The most wasted of all days is a day without laughter".

Another thing to notice from those pictures is, their blinds. My blinds are horrible, I rather not take a picture and post a picture here. Seriously...

And so ladies and gentlemen, BEFORE & AFTER:

More pictures:

 HOW TO:
I made this by printing almost white letters unto an A4 size. It took about 4 papers and 42 letters!
It's really hard to cut because of the color difference of the printed letters and the paper, which isn't that much difference at all so you gotta look carefully before you cut.

BUT, after cutting all the letters, I realize it could have been easier. If you have Photoshop, you can easily flip the letters. Then, add dark solid shadow around all the white flipped letters, so you have an outline to cut. Now, why didn't I think of that earlier?

Laying them down on the floor to pre-plan what's going to be on the wall

Then take sticky tacks and roll them into small little balls and slightly press them unto the back of the letters and press them on the wall! Ta-da!

Then, like those pictures from tumblr, I needed posters and a whole lot of them. I never cut my magazines. But without sacrifice, there's no success. So I decided to cut my Galaxie Magazines.

And so these are the results!

Does it even look as close as those pictures? Well, I guess not. But it's a work in progress. Hopefully, changing my sheets, add more posters and most importanté, MY BLINDS. I'm thinking of white...
