I DON'T THINK I'VE MADE A HAUL POST BEFORE
Here's to first times - even for shopping hauls! I am so excited about this purchase that I almost checked the FedEx shipment schedule every waking minute... It was worth it. And, they came a day earlier than approximated, which is frickin' awesome.
So I recently received a 30% OFF coupon code from
Cotton On and I
just had to splurge but without the help of my sister, who undoubtedly loves Cotton On as well as I do, I could not have reached the minimum MYR250 mark for free shipping. Phew, otherwise I had to spend an additional MYR43 just to ship these items from Singapore! The reason why we chose to purchase these online rather than in-stores was because of the way these items are priced. Some were priced higher at the mall while some had better bundle deals online. Plus, I don't have to tirelessly find my size (XXS and XS') which is unquestionably hard to get.
Our total was: MYR 343.05; Mine alone was
MYR199.80
1— Playsuit / Rompers.
Sale items.
2— Crop tops.
L-R: Discounted; Sale item.
3— Neck pillow.
Sale item.
4— Panties.
Sale items.
*OTHER PANTY IN THIS BUNDLE DEAL IS MY SISTER'S AND IS NOT PICTURED HERE.
5— Swim bottoms.
Sale item.
6— Passport holder.
Discounted item.
You know, given my first shopping experience with their online store, I am pretty happy with what arrived and the condition it was in. They arrived in a well-packaged box with air-packets surrounding the not-even fragile items. I love it. I love how much care is taken into shipping them regardless of the fact that they were 99% fabric and would not break. Almost all items were packed in their individual plastic packaging and all came in perfect condition, obviously minus the wrinkles. All original tags are also intact. They also include two separate and different invoices.

However (cue dun dun dunnn), my sister and I received a total of two items wrongly or rather, what was pictured on the website does not match what we received even though the skirt is a skirt and my passport holder is definitely is, a passport holder. Let's talk about mine: My passport holder came lookin' good on the outside but I felt totally misled on the inside. On the website it shows a passport holder that has slits for credit cards, etc. but over here, it is merely a sleeve for the passport. Not what I was looking for. :(
Good news is that in-store returns / exchange / refunds are now available and I'm planning to exchange one of my crop top to one size up and probably return and refund my passport holder. The form for that is at the back of every invoice paper. Bad news is, the passport holder is by Typo, a sub-division brand of Cotton On and I can only refund / return / exchange Typo items at Typo outlets... And the nearest one is in the 1U mall. Ugh.
Oh well, not that any of these 'wrong' items would stop me from ever shopping online at Cotton On again (however the shipping cost will. I can NOT wait for when they have a storage facility in Malaysia and shipping would be cheaper!). Ratings by me personally would be 4/5. 1 star off for false advertising on the website vs. items delivered and received.
Last note: Please hide my card. I smell another haul soon.
[EDIT:] Turns out I didn't fully realize the crop top I wanted to exchange sizes for is a sale item and therefore could not be exchanged. Which sucks, because I do understand that refunds aren't allowed because they'd want to clear the stocks but I'm just changing sizes which makes no difference in the stock count. Just sayin'.
However, I did get a refund on my passport holder. Which is great even if I had to go all the way to Damansara for it.

THIS IS WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR
Nope, not my two front teeth or
you... (I'm lame, I know. Shoot me at will.)
#1
— From my parents:
+Christmas haul as an additional present too!
#2
— From Michelle
#3
— From Aunt Sally + my cousins
#4 — Christmas party gift exchange
#1 — Besides the Christmas haul, what they got me was what I told them that I needed to buy a new one; as for the mug, it was suppose to be given as a gift exchange for the Christmas party but I told my mom that the mug was nice... hence, my christmas present lol.
#2 — The rudolf picture is exchangeable! *prints Paramore pictures*
#3 — Wonka is something I wouldn't purchase because a small package costs around $10; And this is a large package. And I've always wanted to try that lip butter. Yay!
If you notice, I got three mugs and a tumbler... probably hinting that I need to drink more water?
I'll be
finally getting down to saw/carve my "TW" initials from the wood I bought many many months ago. I must do this project before the year ends otherwise it would be another year that I could start on it... I'm lazy, there I said it.

SO I GOT WOKEN UP BY MY MOM EARLY IN THE MORN
To find out my Grandma got admitted to the hospital - unconscious but breathing. She was in Singapore then to visit and stay there a little while. After she got to my aunt's house in Singapore after the long trip, she slept through the night and couldn't wake up in the morning. They dialled the ambulance and the paramedics revived her breathing but she was still unconscious. It was later on that she was pronounced dead.
My family and I rushed to Singapore for the sudden funeral. Truth be told, nobody could believe that she's gone. Because we all were
that close to her. She's in our everyday life.
Gone are my favourite pork dishes she cooks. Gone is my Hokkien. Though I admit I was a slight bit annoyed sometimes when she would call me to turn on the television at certain times acc. to the tv show airtime, I still wished I hadn't thought of her that way. And I just recently taught her how to operate the remote control for the tv. and she learned many many new English words. Wish she was here so that we all could see how much she's gained at such an age!
RIP Grandma (13 Oct 2012) - I'll see you on the other side.

STOP MOTION!
You've seen/heard it before. And now I've done it, though in .gif form, but hey! Still works.
Enjoy!
BEHIND THE SCENES:
Tupperwares acts as a tripod (I don't have one *sadface*) and pegs are to tilt the camera downwards. I'm such a genius...

SO IT WAS MY MOM'S BIRTHDAY ON THE 14TH AND WE HAD A SMALL GET-TOGETHER/PARTY
First thing in the morning, we head to La Gomera, a spanish buffet. Oh God, the food there, glorious. The good arrangement isn't getting full marks but the taste was and it was by golly, uhmazing and soooo juicy! Especially the chicken pie and beef stew. Oh, my beef. We went to the mall next because my mom is in desperate need to find a sling bag for travelling (eventhough our trip to Bangkok is all the way in June, yay!). Along the way to the shop, we got ourselves luggages for our trip... too soon already. lol. Went over a couple of bags there and they were goddamn ugly to the bone ahaha .
We've found a couple more and found a perfect one that will probably suit any outfit my mom (or anyone else for that matter) will wear. That's a bonus. The main point is they have plenty of pocket space and hidden slots for whatnots. So my sister, my aunt and I decided to manipulate my mom's mind saying that it's so ugly and that it doesn't suit her. You should have seen my mom's face. Now, she likes the bag too; But when she hears the negative comments her face changed lololol. Oh, and it's super easy to manipulate my mom's decision. Then, the plan continues as I bring my mom away from the cashier. Me being... me, I can't distract my mom that well so my sister called my dad for back-up and my dad came and just took the whole thing over, he was so smooth at it... a little too smooth. In the end, my sister bought the bag, wrapped it and stuffed it in my bag (because my bag is big enough to hide it).
Pictures!
Macaroni, salad, meatball, chicken pie, beef stew
Egg stuffed with tomato, ham with mayo, pizza, garlic bread, salmon with butter sauce
Ice cream with colourful sprinkles (obviously!), cakes
@
meshellwe & I. Going crazy at momma's birthday.
We just got that hat, sunnies and headband on that day!
PS: I got my sunglasses at the men's section. :'D
Birthday "Cake"
The next day was a Sunday and it's a Feast Day in Church! Unilever sponsored 6000 tubs of Walls Ice Cream both Strawberry and Chocolate (omg). We got at least 5 boxes... (1 box = 12 tubs). Gave them to our friends and neighbours, as well duh.
Also, I'm having my finals right now. 3 papers down from the 16th and last paper this coming Tuesday! I have 6 freaking essays to write (both long and short ones) and my fingers/arms/hand is giving up on me since my Economics paper. Btw, is it just me or does cramming for finals works better than studying months before?
My sister still hasn't uploaded our crazy family pictures (the craziest by far)... You have to see my poses. I was 'the thinker' once.

I HAVE NO REASON FOR NOT BLOGGING FOR ALMOST A MONTH NOW
except for not wanting to be addicted to the internet again. I guess this post means I've failed.
So there's nothing much to update, really. I'm going to be done with my Foundation in 12 days― Finals is next week and I'm pretty sure I'm failing Accounting. I'm never the type to study that much and I feel like it's too late since finals is in 4 days from now. But just like everyone else, there is an inner voice that says "you can do it", but it mostly gives you false hope and you fail anyway. But I shouldn't complain. The other day my friend opened up to me― about what had happened a couple of weeks ago― that she was a victim of rape. So clearly I shouldn't be complaining for not having the will to study for my finals. She's going through much more problem and drama in her life and here I am, not being able to push my self to read my notes. I guess life is unfair in her view; she cried when she told me that, where she was a good person, she never did anything wrong, but the bad luck came unto her anyway and not to people who does bad things. But I admire her, I really do. Despite of what had happened, she managed to hide it inside, giving smiles to everyone when she enters the class― like nothing ever happened.
Negative issues/thoughts aside, in 12 days, I'll be rebooting my life, so to speak. I'm taking up that job as a Creative Art Teacher for kids (But obviously I'll have to go in for the interview first haha), getting my license (finally), making new (and edible)projects (we bought a conventional oven!) and read the novels I bought the other day ($8 for 3 paperbacks). In 12 days (or so) also,
project Avacado Facial (as cheesy as it sounds) with my bestie @
JenJennyyy and Grace (who doesn't have a twitter, sigh) will take place. Can't wait!
Possibly the cutest conventional oven ever. I love how it says "Enjoy your meal" after every use.
Also, I'm a Draw Something addict. But hey! I'm a loyal fan of OMGPOP. I'm not a newcomer on the Draw My Thing team. :) Draw me: ItsTracyy. That is my sister's hands by the way, haha. I got my dad and mom to join in as well and they laugh everytime they're playing it. To hell with family night board games! Hahaha. We all sat in the living room the other day, drawing to each other :)
[EDIT:] WE THE KINGS IN MAY.

I THOUGHT MY PREVIOUS LAYOUT WOULD LAST AT LEAST A YEAR
But I guess not. I probably agree with some of you out there, it's pretty dull. Black isn't the new... black? Hahaha. I don't know where I'm going with this post. Anyway... about that picture, it's inspired by @
charlavail and @
samdesantiss. They took a photo holding up their locks just like I did but I know, I know, they look awfully cuter than I do. Worth a try.
Instragram of the week
Okay tbh I was at
Annabel's blog. Click it. See the difference? I know,
no difference. I totally ripped this layout design from her! I can't help okay. It's just too simple and it kind of woke me up a little bit. How is it that everyone's blog is so motivating to read except mine? So Annabel, if you're reading this, I'm so totally sorry for taking your ideas and plotting them as mine. By the way, while you're at her site, go on and browse through. I find it really inspirational, her fashion is gorge. I found her blog through
CollegeFashion.net.
Speaking of fashion/clothes/wtv/etc, I'm on a mission to save up (and sign up for a part-time job after my current and last semester ends!) to splurge on some clothes! I am dying to get Cotton On's bright colored jeans. Mustard yellow is seriously calling my name.
No, it does not have to do with Paramore having yellow pants. Okay maybe it does.
My couz found a job in my neighbourhood as a Creative Art Teacher for kids. That word "kids" freaks me out a little. I probably have 1 to 100 patients in me when dealing with kids that I don't know. Cooperation is key. Will be signing up for my license after my semester ends too! Just in time for my degree, hopefully. *cross fingers*
