SO I GOT WOKEN UP BY MY MOM EARLY IN THE MORN
To find out my Grandma got admitted to the hospital - unconscious but breathing. She was in Singapore then to visit and stay there a little while. After she got to my aunt's house in Singapore after the long trip, she slept through the night and couldn't wake up in the morning. They dialled the ambulance and the paramedics revived her breathing but she was still unconscious. It was later on that she was pronounced dead.
My family and I rushed to Singapore for the sudden funeral. Truth be told, nobody could believe that she's gone. Because we all were
that close to her. She's in our everyday life.
Gone are my favourite pork dishes she cooks. Gone is my Hokkien. Though I admit I was a slight bit annoyed sometimes when she would call me to turn on the television at certain times acc. to the tv show airtime, I still wished I hadn't thought of her that way. And I just recently taught her how to operate the remote control for the tv. and she learned many many new English words. Wish she was here so that we all could see how much she's gained at such an age!
RIP Grandma (13 Oct 2012) - I'll see you on the other side.
