IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN

And I'm not talking about Christmas... Well, maybe. It's that time of the year where/when you suddenly realize, it has been a year, passed in a flash. "Well, that was fast!" 2013 and the grand annual countdown is slowly creeping near in 4 days, I've been thinking about life — how I've progressed, what I've overcomed (which isn't much, really. Or anything at all.) and all the sentimental shit. All flooding through my brain, right now at 1:30AM lol.

What did happened this year? Let's make the list:
1. Concerts: Simple Plan (Jan) + Avril Lavigne (Feb)
2. Graduated from my Foundation and started my Degree
3. Attempted to draw portraits of famous people
4. Got my driver's license
5. 4D3N holiday at Bangkok, Thailand
6. Grace went off to USA
7. Rascal had an inflamed nipple and a little rash
8. Sew little booties for Rascal
9. Read a few books: The Notebook / A Walk To Remember / The Rescue by N. Sparks + 50 Shades of Grey / - Darker / - Freed by E.L. James
10. Sang a little Joe Brooks in front of a crowd of students from my college for a contest
11. A good progress on my braces
12. RIP Grandma
13. Got to finally try Vitamin Water
14. Made new friends
15. Had a Christmas party (A separate post on that later!)
16. Discovered many, many amazing music

#1 — I honestly cannot remember much of Avril Lavigne... The show was too fast, just like 2012. #3 — My attempts of portrait drawing + coloring was a good one! #4 — Got my driver license at my first try, which is one of the things I won't be humble about lol. #5 — Holiday to Bangkok was memorable. #9 — Frankly, despite the "porn" and bad grammar, 50 Shades wasn't that bad. Though, more on that in a separate post.) #10 — I didn't win the ticket to Joe Brook's show in KL but it was a step in my self-confidence. #13 — I love Vitamin Water; Malaysia finally has it! #15 — Christmas Party was held 3 days ago on Christmas eve; it was mostly a blast!

I've been looking through tumblr and how people are living their lives in 2012 even at my age or a year younger/older. They practically are so carefree and are taking beautiful, beautiful photos all the time. I'm just so inspired by them but can't do shit about it because I have boundaries that I've not allowed to pass through. Parents, you know. But, I'm hoping to make more progress in achieving that lifestyle. Here's a list I wish to progress forward to:

1. Get a good camera + practice photography
2. A part-time job
3. More hang-outs / parties
4. Start an art journal DONE! Blog post here
5. More DIY craft / projects magazine notebooks, homemade organizers, the perfect dreamcatcher
6. Be more open to try new things / be creative + to new situations
7. To play the hand that's dealt
8. Organize / plan all important things
9. Paramore in Feb
10. Attempt to gain more freedom
11. Get my own guitar
12. Try to get taller
13. Get active
14. Write letters + send postcards
15. ?

#5  I've seen a couple of DIYs on the internet and I can't wait to start doing them! #9 — I KNOW. #12 — I remember bashing about people who bashed about me being short and it has been more than annoying can get! I can't change genetics but people are telling me to grow taller like it's something I could get done in a sec. But I guess, I would give it a try... #14 — I love writing letters + postcards!

There are a few things that I was suppose to get done by this year and have not done so yet. Well, we have 4 days to complete these:DONE! Blog post here

1. Projects: Wooden name initial
2. Clearing out my room (Part 2); Part 1 was done yesterday!

In other news, Grace and Emelia's birthday both fall in December. For Grace's, Siow Teng and I had a Oovoo (because Skype now charges us for multiple video chats, tsk.) video call with her for a few hours; despite the 12-hour timezone, we did it! For Emelia's, my college friends and I got her a few things altogether... though Max did most of it. Anyway, there's a birthday scrapbook thing and I had to send three of my pictures off to Max to be printed and included in. Here's one of it:

It was a last minute thing, for me at least. Max has been pestering me but I've been busy with assignments then, and the Christmas party thereafter. So I had to quickly draw the cake and decided that it'll look adorable if it's tilted to the side, ha! Well, Happy Birthday to both Grace + Emelia!

+Posts on Christmas Party, 50 Shades and my post-Christmas (or extra Christmas present from my parents) shopping haul up next!
